Feeding yourself right during pregnancy is very important. Finding the right things to eat is easy when you step back and follow a simple guide. Natural and organic foods are the best. Eating anything with preservatives and bad fats is not on the plan. Cooking and preparing wonderful fruits and vegetables is very important while pregnant. You want to learn how to do this if you do not already know how. Cooking doesn’t have to be a chore, especially when you keep it simple.
What you eat is what will keep you and your baby in a healthy state. Eating healthfully is one of the most important things you can do on your road to a good pregnancy and delivery. Finding out which foods are most important for you and your baby will be part of the journey. Genetics and your personal experience will play a large role in creating your food plan.
Yes, there are certain things you want to avoid and certain pregnancy guidelines that you will want to follow, but the most important thing is to keep it organic as much as possible and natural. I really can’t stress this enough. You do not want to put anything into your system that could be harmful to you or your baby. Avoid eating things like packaged lunch meats and hydrogenated oils. Anything that has lists of items that you cannot pronounce (or can and know it’s not good) should be avoided. ( An occassional treat every now and then doesn’t seem to hurt as long as it IS occassional.)
You and your baby are formed on the foods you eat. Chemicals and cheap bi-products are not items you want to grow you and your baby on. All the nutrient-packed-natural foods you can get your hands on – is great! You will never regret eating lots of vegetables, whole grains, nuts and fruits and other healthy items on your food plan. This type of eating is good for all of your life, but you will want to edit your food plan when you are nursing to ensure baby can handle what is being passed through the milk. Things like spicy foods can give your baby an upset stomach and even sometimes milk can be an offender.
Enjoy this journey and all its stages. It is a wonderful one and a blessing!
